Though I had been selling life insurance for about 10 years before that I can sincerely say that the Northwestern experience taught me to sell life insurance in the right way. I was exposed to some true professionals who put the interest of their prospects and clients above all else... When their agents are finally allowed to go out for the first time and present their products to prospective clients they know what they are doing. They know their product and they know how to relate to their prospects. These professionals are trained not to think of commissions but, on the other hand, to focus on the prospects needs. The result is that they have a closing ratio well above industry averages, their incomes are well above industry averages as well. The Northwestern Financial Network is a class act. This company has maintained a performance level in every respect way above most of the rest. You can confirm this by reading commentary over the years by Ralph Nader, Consumer Reports and The A M Best company. The best recommendations, however come from their clients. Northwestern Mutual's business in force has hit the trillion dollar mark. This is quite an achievement but I am in no way surprised. I just want to celebrate this milestone with them...even though I am no longer contracted with them. I left the agency in New York in 1986 and moved to Florida. Congratulations Northwestern Mutual.
