You go get some quotes and you find a few rates that seem to fit comfortably into your philosophy and pocketbook. There is not much difference between the premiums. How do you decide which is best for you?

At this point it is natural to go with the cheaper rate. This is not necessarily the best decision. May be you should check out the companies first. I have never seen a life insurance company go under but I guess it is possible. Go to their site and check out the carrier you like. The life insurance company should be rated at least A before you sign up with them. A company rated A+ is even better.

So compare rates and find the lowest rate you can but check out the carrier.
